GR's Got Talent
My summer internship with Arena District focused primarily on establishing the Grand Rapid’s Got Talent competition. I co-led team of interns in the event planning and development process while personally carrying out all forms of event branding and marketing. This included launching the event's social media presence, overseeing numerous media purchases with online, print and broadcast media and assisting with media relations.
My efforts helped earn dozens of placements and live appearances in regional media, while garnering upwards of 10 new fans per day on social media and attracting an average of 30 visitors per day to the event website. We obtained partnerships with over 15 sponsors and gained 150 audition registrations.
I built the Grand Rapid's Got Talent website with targeted SEO and wrote all web content for both the website and the blog. I also worked with mobile web developers to construct a fully-customized text-to-vote system to determine the winners of the finale.
